The person behind Yamerooo
I run Yamerooo from Japan. I started playing PC games with my family in my fifties, after years of enjoying games on consoles.
These days, you will often find me playing games such as R.E.P.O.—or trying to catch up with everyone in R.E.P.O.
I run after the group. I fall into the abyss.
I escape a monster. I fall into the abyss again. Some days, I manage to fall when absolutely nothing is happening.
It started with: “GPU? What on earth is that?”
When I first tried to get into PC gaming, the computer specifications stopped me before the game even started.
GPU. CPU. Memory. Minimum requirements. Recommended requirements.
The unfamiliar words kept coming, and I still could not answer the one question that mattered to me:
I wanted a clear answer before a detailed lesson about computer parts. Yamerooo began because other beginners deserve a simpler place to start.
What Yamerooo is here to do
Yamerooo is a beginner-first guide for people moving from Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox into PC gaming. The goal is to make the first steps understandable, useful, and a little more fun.
I built PCGameChecker
Finding the name of your GPU or CPU can be confusing by itself. That is why I created PCGameChecker, a Windows app that reads basic PC information and gives a simple five-star estimate for supported games.
The current app and game database are in Japanese. An English version is planned as part of Yamerooo’s international expansion.

How I create and check content
Articles begin with the questions and problems I have encountered while learning PC gaming. When a guide includes system requirements, product details, or compatibility information, I check official game pages, developer or publisher information, official documentation, and current product listings.
Games, apps, and products change over time. Each guide will show its update date, and readers should confirm the latest details on the official or retailer page before making a purchase.
